Partnerships

Two years ago we established our first educational partnership arrangement with the Institute for Nature and Leadership in Washington DC and the Marlboro MBA in Managing for Sustainability in Vermont, USA.  Since then students and faculty have visited and stayed at Toleza using the farm both as a subject for study as well as a base for understanding the social imperatives in the local community.  Projects that have emerged from this partnership include:

Daughters of Toleza Scholarship Project - A Marketing, Branding and Fundraising Plan

Feasibility Study for Emerging Organic or Speciality Markets Toleza Farm

Following a trip to Toleza, Don Simms completed a research report which he presents here for his MBA in Managing for Sustainability at the Marlboro Graduate School.

School Twinning Programmes

The first School twinning programme was between Kabango School near Balaka, Malawi and Twin Valley Elementary School, Wilmington Vermont. Following the success of this initiative another was created between CheMbera Secondary School near Balaka, Malawi and St. Peter/Chanel High School in Bedford, Ohio.
